Campsite of the Year 2017 - England & Overall Winner

Since winning an AA regional award in 2013, hands-on owners Tony and Dianne Stockdale have continued to invest each year at their beautifully maintained and spacious family park. This year the AA inspector was stunned by the quality and design of the new state-of-the-art facilities block which has six fully-equipped wet rooms (one with bath; five with showers) and a very smart dishwashing room. With underfloor heating, quality marble walls and floor-to-ceiling photographs in each, they certainly have the wow factor. Elsewhere, the lush grass touring areas are beautifully landscaped with mature trees, shrubs and seasonal flowers; many of the generously sized pitches are hedge-screened to ensure optimum privacy. New electric posts and a dog wash, with shower, were also added this year. The woodland walk is an additional bonus and children of all ages have a choice of a fabulous play area and a ball games field. Customer care is a real strength here and all the team are genuinely pleased to help. The park is peacefully located in open countryside close to the North York Moors National Park, and also Scarborough and its many attractions. The Vale of Pickering Caravan Park is a worthy winner indeed.
