Campsite of the Year - Scotland Winner

Blaire Castle Caravan Park is an attractive and secluded site set within the historic Atholl Estate, surrounded by mature woodland and the River Tilt. Although a large park, the various groups of pitches are located throughout the extensive parkland, and each has its own sanitary block with all-cubicle facilities of a very high standard. It is a very popular park with a good variety of static vans, both owner-occupied and for hire, and there’s an excellent choice of grass pitches, hardstanding and fully serviced pitches; it is particularly suitable for the larger type of motorhome. Two wooden pods have been carefully placed in a semi-secluded location by the river, and while only providing a sofa-type bed, with no cooking or washing facilities, are proving to be a popular addition to the park. One of the main attractions here is the central 9-acre open grass area which provides a safe environment for children to play whilst also offering stunning views from all the pitches to the nearby hills. There are resident Highland cows and ducks, and native red squirrels can be spotted throughout the park. Walkers and cyclists can access a 50-mile network of off-road trials directly from the park, and there are opportunities for fishing, pony trekking and a Land Rover safari into the hills.
